Deadline Hollywood reports that Ellen abd Portia de Rossi have an NBC comedy pilot in the works that will star Portia and be executive produced by Ellen. It is to be written by Samantha Who? co-creator/executive producer Don Todd and is about dueling sisters, one of them played by de Rossi who has starred on Ally McBeal, Arrested Development and the recent ABC sitcom Better Off Ted.
The untitled comedy had all four major broadcast networks interested.

Your relationship role models are pulling their Hollywood power together in hopes of getting their own scripted series on the air. NBC has purchased a pilot of an untitled 30 minute comedy series about two contentious sisters (one of whom will be played by Portia). Ellen is set to executive produce. The show concept was apparently such a hot commodity that ABC, NBC and CBS were ALL fighting over it – which is a good sign regarding the show’s dreams of making it to your television screen for a Spring premiere.
Ellen chatted a bit about the new show as well as Portia getting her American citizenship on The Tonight Show last night.
This week Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi celebrated their third wedding anniversary. They married o August 16th, 2008 in California during those blissful months when same-sex marriage was legal in the state.

Ellen recently took care of a kitten that she found in L.A. - the cat was covered with fleas and had come from an abandoned litter. After taking the kitten to the vet and paying for its medical care, she’s looking to find the furry friend a permanent home.

Forget Men in Black, it was all about the ladies in LA when Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia Di Rossi stepped out of their sportscar wearing matching dark hues.
Portia, in particular, looked like she could join Will Smith on a government-appointed mission as she alighted from the silver Porsche.
But while the clothes were sombre, the mood was anything but for this happiest of married couples.

Talk show behemoth Ellen, 53, couldn't take her eyes off her stunning wife,38, as they laughed and held hands on route to an art gallery in the trendy Venice Beach area.
The pair, who married in 2008 after the law in California was changed to allow same sex couples to marry, couldn't even keep their hands off one another long enough to feed the meter.
Ellen grinned and patted her wife's bum as Portia pushed quarters into the machine.
The Emmy winner has much to smile about, with a much-mooted Britney coup rumoured to be coming up for her CBS show.

Britney, 29, made a rare appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2008, where she appeared in a skit alongside the host herself - dressed in Dickensian clothes for a Christmas Carol parody.
It has been reported that she will again join Ellen for sketches, and will also perform live on a later show to promote her new album Femme Fatale.
Portia has had a tougher start to the year.

She was devastated when her ABC series, Better Off Ted was cancelled late last year and turned down a chance to appear on Dancing With the Stars after much painful deliberation.
But her life with Ellen offers much in the way of consolation.
Aside from the flash cars and the Beverly Hills home - where they exchanged their vows in front of friends and family, the couple take time to enjoy lavish holidays together.
They spent Christmas in St Barts, where onlookers couldn't fail to note their open affection and smiling faces.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have become lawfully wedded wives.
Capitalizing on the recent switcheroo in California law, the longtime loves swapped vows Saturday in front of family and friends at their Beverly Hills estate, according to People.
A small group of less than 30 wedding guests, all dressed in summer formal attire, started arriving at Ellen's posh $29 million abode one Saturday evening of August 2008 at around 6:30 p.m.
"It was all close friends and family," said a source, adding that no celeb guests were spotted entering all day.
Both wore Zac Posen and exchanged rings by Neil Lane. Actress de Rossi has been sporting a Neil Lane-designed, marquise-cut pink diamond ring on her wedding finger since June.
DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, have been an item (not to mention paparazzi magnets and an adorable red-carpet couple) since December 2004. On May 15, the day after the California Supreme Court struck down a ban on gay marriage by ruling it unconstitutional, DeGeneres announced on her talk show that she and de Rossi were planning to tie the knot.
The audience, which included her smiling Australian-born partner that day, responded with a standing ovation.
"I'll tell you who the lucky guy is soon," DeGeneres added, never missing a beat.
"Planning a wedding is very stressful," DeGeneres said on the red carpet at the 2008 Daytime Emmy Awards, where she took home her fourth statue in a row for Outstanding Talk Show Host. "It is crazy. My gardener is now invited."
And on a more serious note, she added: "I can't wait to be married. I feel like it is long overdue. And I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous like we all don't have the same rights."
Not knowing that a legally smiled-upon wedding was in their future, they purchased their 8,500-square-foot home last year. They now own three adjoining pieces of property in their canyon enclave, making for an ultaprivate abode.
City planning officials have told E! News that it's possible the couple might want to completely gate off their end of the street, but a public hearing would have to be held to approve such a request.
