Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Signing Post-Nuptial Agreement: Prevents Divorce?

We’ve all heard of prenups, but has anyone here heard of post-nups? Well, according to a new report from Star Magazine, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are getting a ‘post-nuptial agreement’.

This supposed ‘post-nuptial’ agreement would set aside all the boundaries for their marriage, so that they have incentive not to get a divorce. Star’s ‘source’ claims that it would include stipulations about Ellen being ‘career-obsessed’, as well as them taking two weekends away each months and four larger vacations throughout the year.

So basically, this is the same story we’ve been hearing over and over again, just with a slight twist. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are still fighting all the time, but now, they’re making attempts to fix their marriage instead of throwing in the towel completely.

When you think about how much this couple has to lose, it makes sense that they would fight to stay together. They clearly care enough about their image enough to keep addressing the fighting rumors and the divorce rumors, so obviously they’re trying to stay together. Otherwise, they probably would have gotten divorced long before this, especially since sources have leaking divorce rumors left, right, and center.

However, there’s also the fact that in addition to all the money and the property, both of their public images – and to some extent, their careers – are inexorably linked to each other, which means that they have to stay together if they want things to remain the same.

What do you guys think about Ellen’s and Portia’s supposed post-nuptial agreement? Do you think they’re trying to set a new standard for fighting celebrity couples to follow, and will it actually work in keeping them together? Or will they end up getting a divorce anyway, especially if this agreement doesn’t help solve their problems in the long run? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi divorce rumours: Couple shares cute family picture amid split reports

Divorce rumours surrounding Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia De Rossi are resurfacing again on the internet. Continuous fighting is apparently what is leading the lesbian couple to split.

Classicalite reported that DeGeneres's controlling behaviour is the reason her wife De Rossi wants out of their marriage.

"Ellen's been unhappy with Portia for a while and wants out." Why hasn't she pulled the plug? "Ellen hates to be alone," a source told In Touch. "She's never broken up with anyone unless she has someone waiting for her, and she's not interested in anyone right now."

While some rumours suggest that de Rossi is the one who wants out, other stories claim that the comedian is the one who is leaving.

However, a Gossipcop report refutes rumours of the celebrity couple's divorce published in In Touch magazine and the Scandal star's Twitter handle also proves the same.

Recently, the American talk show host and her actress wife shared a selfie with their fans showing a glimpse of their happy and content life.

Earlier, there were reports that the famous couple are living apart after a huge fight.

DeGeneres married the Australian-American actress in 2008. However, since 2013, several reports claimed that the couple's marriage was heading for a split.

"They are living out their problems apart," an insider told OK! Magazine, "means nothing is getting sorted out."

Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi buy Montecito mansion

Talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, have bought a 13-acre estate in Montecito, Calif., that had been listed at $26.5 million. The purchase price has not yet appeared in the public record.

The restored Tuscan-style villa and gardens had undergone years and millions of dollars in reconstruction work under the care of an earlier owner, designer John Saladino.

The two-story villa was built in the late 1920s from locally quarried stone. The property, entered through wrought-iron gates, has a quarter-mile-long driveway that winds through olive and eucalyptus trees.

Downstairs, the villa includes an 800-square-foot living room, a dining room and a library/media room. The state-of-the-art kitchen adjoins a breakfast room that opens to gardens.

The master bedroom and bathroom — with under-floor heating — and a second en suite bedroom are also downstairs; three more en suite bedrooms and a sitting room are upstairs. Bathroom fixtures include a Roman hand basin and an Italian neoclassical marble tub, dating from about 1720.

There are nine fireplaces, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in 10,500 square feet of living space. The guest quarters have a bedroom and bathroom.

The grounds include a swimming pool.

DeGeneres, 55, and De Rossi, 40, own several properties in Southern California.

Arrested Developer creator wanted Ellen DeGeneres to appear in latest series with wife Portia de Rossi

ARRESTED Development fans narrowly missed out on seeing Ellen DeGeneres appear in the latest incarnation of the popular series.

DeGeneres' wife Portia de Rossi has revealed the talk show host came very close to being involved in the much-anticipated fourth season of the program.

"Mitch (Hurwitz, creator) wanted her to be a part of this but it didn’t come to fruition," de Rossi told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column.

"But I would want her to play herself."

De Rossi played self-involved Lindsay Bluth in the comedy series but she insisted she had few similarities to the greedy and materialistic character.

"God I hope (we aren’t too alike.) We’re both blonde. But it’s one of things I worry about,” she admitted. “I keep playing these self-absorbed kind of shallow people. Ugh."

Ellen DeGeneres, Portia De Rossi On Forbes' World's Most Powerful Couples List

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are among the 15 couples on Forbes' annual World's Most Powerful Couples list.

The list, which is topped by President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, ranks the couple at number six, after Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angela Jolie and before Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer and Zachary Bogue.

Forbes ranks DeGeneres at 51 on its World's Most Powerful Women list.
According to the magazine, the 55-year-old comedian and host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show is worth an estimated $53 million.

DeGeneres and de Rossi married in California in 2008, one of the many high-profile weddings which took place in the state that summer before voters approved Proposition 8, which overturned a California Supreme Court decision legalizing such unions.
On Sunday, Netflix released the fourth season of Arrested Development, which originally aired on Fox. De Rossi, 40, reprises the role of Lindsay Funke in the sitcom.
Speaking to Los Angeles Confidential, de Rossi said that marrying DeGeneres changed their relationship.

“We were together for four solid years before we got married, but the minute we said 'I do,' the minute we stood up in front of our parents and our friends and committed to each other, our relationship changed,” she said. “I don't think people understand how important that little ceremony is and what it actually does to people. To my mother, instead of thinking of our relationship as a little bit less than my brother and his wife's relationship in some way, it made them instantly equal in her mind, and Ellen became her daughter rather than someone that I was with or dating. It just made it more like family, and our commitment to each other just strengthened instantly.”

Ellen DeGeneres: Portia’s New Haircut Is ‘Adorable’

Her new hairdo earned mixed reviews from readers, but Portia de Rossi’s latest cut has one very important fan: wife Ellen DeGeneres.

“It’s adorable,” she tells Bethenny Frankel in an episode of bethenny airing Tuesday. “She loves it. Everybody loves it. She really, really wanted to do it for a long time.”

DeGeneres says that because de Rossi grew up modeling, she always kept her hair long. “Everyone told her never to cut her hair,” she explains. “I think [long hair] just got to be part of her.”

So when de Rossi decided to take the plunge, “Everybody was like, ‘Oh, you’re going to regret it,’” DeGeneres recalls. “[But] it’s adorable and I love it.”

Though de Rossi is excited about her new look, she wasn’t so excited about its debut. “She was so upset we got paparazzi the other day,” DeGeneres says. “She was like, ‘Couldn’t it have been at an event when [my hair] was done and everything?’”

However, she’ll be able to show off another new detail soon: a wrist tattoo. “It’s a brand of her horse … a Hanoverian,” DeGeneres explains, before adding jokingly, “Not my name, it’s her horse.” Hear more from DeGeneres below.

Affectionate Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi hold hands as they shrug off jet lag

Ellen DeGeneres is known for going into spontaneous dancing jigs on her show. So it was no surprise when the 54-year-old arrived back today after a romantic Italian jaunt with wife Portia De Rossi - and skipped merrily through the airport. With a fresh, sunkissed face, DeGeneres smiled from ear to ear after landing in LAX.

Holding De Rossi's hand, the pair looked cute in matching white pants, short blonde haircuts and sunglasses.

The pair will reach their four-year wedding anniversary in August. They took an early romantic trip to Italy because Portia, 39, starts work filming a new ABC series called The Smart One.

The show is about a brilliant and successful woman who begrudgingly goes to work for her less-brainy but more popular sister - a former beauty queen, weather girl and now big city Mayor.

On the last stop of their trip yesterday, the couple - both Emmy winners - were seen strolling hand in hand in Portofino, which is near Naples, before stopping for lunch. They also spent some time on a luxurious yacht that was moored outside of the Island of Capri.

Ellen's grandparents are both from Italy and she spends many vacations there. It's a good thing the hard-working couple sneaked in some relaxation time. They're facing a big move into the new $18 million Beverly Hills mansion they purchased last month right before they left.
